You may have heard about how DVDs offer superior video picture and sound quality. You may have even seen DVD movies. If you are still wondering if your customers are going to want DVD, consider this: The DVD format is setting a sales pace that is far outperforming any other format to date. The numbers are staggering. If your customers aren't already asking for DVD, they will. DVD offers not only a picture quality better than BetaSP, but offers full Dolby AC-3 5.1 surround. If fact, it offers 9 camera angles, and 8 tracks of better than CD quality sound. Imagine being able to have your audio in multiple languages that the user could select on the fly. Add to this the ability to include subtitles, again in multiple languages and selectable on the fly. But the media capabilities are only part of the story. DVD offers incredible interactivity functions and playback control. Have you every needed a looping presentation but had to settle for rewinding tapes over and over? This is trivial with DVD and you'll never have to rewind again. What's even better, the picture quality will not degrade from repeated play. DVD gives you full control of the user's interaction with your content. If you have looked at doing an interactive multimedia title but were discouraged by the high cost, poor playback quality, and PC platform nightmares, DVD is here to make your vision a reality.
